Do You Have A European Vacation Planned?

Many of you have taken advantage to the Mercedes-Benz Overseas Delivery Program this year. But for the last minute travelers, or if you have a winter vacation already planned in Europe, you might want to take a look at the Overseas Delivery Program and what vehicles are there waiting for you to pick up.

To review the overall program details, here is the basic package benefits.

The Exclusive Package includes a variety of benefits at no additional cost to the customer and is perfect for people who wish to plan their own vacation through Europe, using the Mercedes-Benz Delivery Center in Sindelfingen as the starting point of their journey.

One night accommodation – single or double occupancy – at the customer‘s choice of twelve (12) selected 5-star hotels. Buffet breakfast is included.
Fifteen (15) days of zero-deductible comprehensive insurance.
Note: If you customer requires insurance for a period longer than 15 days, coverage can only be purchased in monthly increments. For example, for 45 days of insurance coverage, you would order two month’s coverage, which is the actual coverage provided, not one month plus 15 days. The monthly premium has been adjusted for the 15 days premium subvention provided by MBUSA.)

Just For The Last Minute European Travelers!

A week or so ago I shared with you the end of October special program for Mercedes Benz Overseas Delivery. What we have here is just for you last minute travelers who would like to combine your European vacation with picking up your brand new Mercedes Benz at the factory. This is a list of vehicles that are or will be available for immeadiate pick up or pick up in December. But remember, this is a first come first served list. In order for me to reserve one of these cars for you to purchase, I need the proper paperwork submitted to Mercedes Benz as soon as possible. You can see what is available, the model, color and interior codes as well as the codes for all of the options on each one. To help you determine the codes for colors and options you can go to www.mbusa.com and click on the vehicles tab and see what the code numbers are in words.

Don’t forget that buying a car under the MB Overseas Delivery program allows you to purchase it at a 7% discount, plus you will not pay for the normal shipping fees. You also get all of the other benifits with the Overseas Delivery program which are outlined below.*

*C63 models are not sold at the 7% discount. They are sold under this program at MSRP.

FOR A LIMITED TIME, European Delivery customers who take delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz
in Germany between September 1 and October 31, 2009, will receive a second night hotel
accommodation in one of 12 luxurious European hotels, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz. In
addition to the many other benefits, such as:
• 7% discount off total vehicle MSRP on eligible models (retail incentives/special Mercedes-Benz Financial
offers can be combined)
• Two nights’ hotel accommodations in one of 12 luxurious hotels
• Two-for-one airfare on Lufthansa (customer is responsible for airline cost of one fare for two tickets)
• Access to Lufthansa’s Lounge within the U.S.
• MBUSA personal travel concierge service for hotel and airline reservations
• Breakfast or lunch at the Sindelfingen Delivery Center restaurant
• Two taxi coupons for ride for use within Stuttgart
• Sindelfingen factory tour
• Two tickets to Mercedes-Benz Museum
• Full tank of fuel
• 15 days European road insurance
• Vehicle destination and delivery charge is waived
• Conveyance from 12 European drop-off points to port of shipment
• Marine insurance
• Return shipment to U.S. port
• VPC processing
• Transportation to selling/delivering dealer
Hotels: Two hotels have been added: Hotel De Rome in Berlin and the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg.
Both have been added to the Hotel Application Form
The Delivery Center will be closed on the following dates. Deliveries are not possible.
November 30
December 21 – 31
The Sindelfingen Factory Tour will not be available on the following dates. The Delivery Center will be opened for vehicle pick up. Please ensure customers are aware of this.
November 30
European Road Insurance: A 15 day full coverage, no deductible insurance is automatically issued and included in the base vehicle price. If your customer requires insurance for a period longer than 15 days, coverage can only be purchased in monthly increments. For example, for 45 days of insurance coverage, you would order two month’s coverage, which is the actual coverage provided, not one month plus 15 days. The
monthly premium has been adjusted for the 15 days premium subvention provided by MBUSA. Please make sure the correct amount of insurance is established through dealership PRIOR to the delivery date. The insurance and registration of the vehicle go hand in hand (Note: the insurance starts on date of pick up).
Winter Travel in Europe: While traveling in Europe during the months of November through April, it is the responsibility of the car owner/driver to adhere to local traffic regulations, which require that a vehicle must have winter tires in winter driving conditions, and take appropriate measures for travel in prevailing weather conditions. As stated in the Operator’s Manual for your vehicle, always use winter tires at temperatures below 45 degrees F (7degrees C) and whenever wintry road conditions prevail. See your Operator’s Manual for specific details concerning operation of your vehicle, including information concerning tires and snow chains for winter driving conditions. While traveling in Austria during winter months of November through April, you must have winter tires. If you disregard this, you can be assessed with a fine of up to € 5.000.
Austria & Switzerland: If you travel through Austria, an International Driver’s License is needed. It can be obtained from any AAA location in the U.S., and its cost varies. The vehicle must also have a sticker for travel on the roadways, which can be purchased at gasoline stations (Germany and Austria) and at the borders. Authorities in both countries fine heavily for non-compliance with these regulations. These
additional costs are the responsibility of the customer.
European Navigation:
The European Navigation for MY09 C, E, CLS, SLK, SL, S and MY10 GLK, C, E, CLS, SLK, SL, S-Class will not be available until further notice. The Delivery Center will provide a portable navigation system at no additional cost to European Delivery orders equipped with navigation. The unit must be returned at time of drop off. The customer will be required to provide a credit card in the event the portable navigation unit is lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise not returned. A letter with details on MY09 navigation and portable unit offer will be
included in customer’s portfolio. VPC Installed Options: The following options will not be installed at the factory. Please inform your customers that these options are installed at the VPC when vehicle returns to the US.

Certificate Of Origin cannot be changed once issued. Please advise us of any changes two weeks prior to
delivery date.
Cancellation Fee:
A $200 cancellation fee will be charged to dealership for all cancelled orders.

• Dealerships have the opportunity to order four cars per calendar year on an open Certificate of Origin in the
dealership’s name, for promotional activities or employee recognition (with the exception all AMG vehicles).
• E320BTEC diesel model does not meet emission standards in CA, CT, ME, MA, NY, PA, RI, VT, OR
and WA and can not be sold or registered in those States. Orders can only be accepted if customer has a
residence outside of these States. As of January 2009, the MY09 E320BTEC will no longer be available
in New Jersey.
